Smiths News is the UK’s largest distributor of newspapers and magazines. We were chosen to remove high-level, asbestos cement fascia board from a number of buildings at the company’s Hammersmith depot in London.

The project required meticulous planning because the depot remained in constant use. We also needed to ensure the work was completed to a strict timetable, enabling builders to begin their work on schedule.

The work was carried out using mobile elevating work platforms. This was possible thanks to our operatives holding certificates from IPAF, an accrediting organisation that promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment.
