Integral Clients Kingston Hospital

This hospital in Kingston upon Thames is a district general hospital serving some 320,000 people in the surrounding area. It has approximately 520 beds and has a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare.

We were chosen by an asbestos consultant to decontaminate and remove old stationery files and boxes, which were stored within a roof void of the occupied Regent Wing. The space was contaminated with asbestos-containing insulation, which had shed fibres onto the documents. These had to be preserved for legal reasons.

We carried out the work during the COVID-19 pandemic, so our operatives had to take daily lateral flow tests and work within a strictly controlled environment. The project was a success and we completed it within three weeks.
